Les 2 et 3 juin derniers, les équipes de l'INP ont profité d'une installation de bioluminescence à l’occasion de la fête de l'INP.

New Post-doctoral fellow in team 1Neural Plasticity and Degeneration team has recently welcomed Shweta SONAWANE.
Shweta is from Mumbai (India) she did her Ph.D. at the Biochemical sciences division of CSIR - National Chemical Laboratory in Pune (India).
Her doctoral research was largely focused on Tau pathology in Alzheimer’s disease studying in particular the effect of glycated and phosphorylated Tau on cytoskeleton integrity as well as aggregation propensity in order to find small molecules that could attenuate Tau aggregation and prevent its glycation.

Just out: NeuroCyto team in ScienceThe NeuroCyto team has a new publication out! Published on November 5th in Science, this article elucidates how adenosine A2A receptors drive removal of inhibitory synapses depending on their activity. This is a fruitful collaboration with the labs of Sabine Lévi at Institut du Fer à Moulin (IFM) in Paris and Christophe Bernard at Institut de Neuroscience des Systèmes (INS) in Marseille. New article from the NeuroCyto Team in NeuronThe NeuroCyto team has a new publication out! Published on Sep. 15 in Neuron, this article reveals how clathrin is slowly transported along axons by forming transport packets that are then docked at presynapses where they can dynamically supply clathrin for synaptic function. La magie de la fée bleue a une fois de plus opéréNadia Coliac a été l’auteure, metteuse en scène et scénographe d’une expérience théâtrale bioluminescente qui a eu lieu le 19 octobre dernier à Paris sur la scène des arts et des sciences du théâtre de la Reine Blanche. Une expérience grandeur nature d'éclairer tout un théâtre uniquement avec la lumière vivante qui a captivé le public, ce fut un moment magique !
Cette production artistique et scientifique fait partie de ses recherches dans le domaine de l'histoire des sciences pour réhabiliter la mémoire de " Raphaël Dubois génie de la lampe vivante".

NanoDSF goes high throughput thanks to NT.Robotic AutosamplerPINT platform recently acquired the NT.Robotic Autosampler that complemented the existing Prometheus NT.Plex nanoDSF instrument which is already equipped with aggregation detection optics to get complete stability characterization.
NT.Robotic Autosampler is a stand-alone, all-inclusive system with robotic arm, computer, and monitor. PINT is now able to analyze up to 1,536 samples for hands-free characterization of thermal unfolding and chemical denaturation in a single experiment. Incorporate plate temperature control to keep your samples at 4 to 20 °C while they wait in the queue.
This will permit to scale up the existing applications of the Prometheus :

Romain La Rocca giving a talk in EuroTau 2021 meetingRomain La Rocca, former member of INP team 9, shared the stage of EuroTau meeting in Lille's Grand Palais with Illana Gozes (Israel), Cláudio M. Gomes (Portugal), Amandine Grimm (Switzerland), Yann Fichou (France), Marina Rierola (Germany), Laura Vallés Saiz (Spain), Marie Galas (France) and Mahmoud Maina (UK / USA) during Session #3 chaired by Isabelle Landrieu & Yann Fichou.
He presented his PhD work on the Three zinc binding sites of Tau and their role in tau aggregation and little bit of the perspectives Dahbia Yatoui is currently working on right now.

Emmanuel (Team 6) was an invited speaker at the French Club of Glial Cells meetingOn October, the 21st, Emmanuel was invited to give a talk during the 2021 meeting organized by the French Club of Glial Cells. Emmanuel had the chance to present the latest and exciting results of the NIVET team by giving a talk during a symposium dedicated on Glial cells in Brain diseases. Emmanuel's talk was entitled: "Human-iPSC-astrocytes reveal a pro-inflammatory axis under the control of the APOE4 genetic risk factor in Alzheimer's disease".

Chiara Bastiancich lauréate de la bourse Élie BzouraFélicitations à Chiara Bastiancich, post-doctorante dans l'équipe GlioME qui a obtenu la bourse de recherche fondamentale Élie Bzoura 2021, délivrée par la Société Française de Pharmacie Oncologique et à l' Académie nationale de Pharmacie pour son projet GlioRET.
Congratulations to Chiara Bastiancich, post-doctoral fellow in the GlioME team who has been awarded the Élie Bzoura research grant by the French Society of Oncology Pharmacy and the French National Academy of Pharmacy for her GlioRET project.

Depuis janvier 2022, le Canceropôle a lancé les « Seminar Series ». Ces nouveaux rendez-vous mensuels d’une heure (13h-14h) permettent à un binôme de chercheurs (un.e expert.e niçois.e et un.e expert.e marseillais.e.) de présenter en visioconférence leurs sujets d’étude, projets, actualités… L'objectif étant d'animer la communauté de recherche en cancérologie et faire connaître les expertises des équipes de recherche de la région.
