  1. Welcome to Clara Camilla, New PhD student in team 10

Clara Camilla, PhD student, Biology-Health - Oncology speciality, is starting her thesis on the theme: "Evaluation of Longitudinal Genomic Alterations in Diffuse Low Grade Gliomas in Adults".

  2. The GlioME team has obtained a "Action Structurante" funding for the creation of the PETRA facility

Emeline Tabouret and Aurélie Tchoghandjian, in collaboration with Thierry Virolle's team at the l'Institut de Biologie Valrose in Nice, are among the two winners to have obtained "Action structurante" funding from the Cancéropôle PACA.

This funding aims to structure the neuro-oncology at the preclinical and translational level in the region (between Marseille and Nice) and will be used to create the PETRA (PrEclinical and TRAnslational Research) platform on these two sites.

  3. New publication from the GlioME team

Chiara Bastiancich published the last article of her first postdoc on GRAVITY project 🎉
The challenging goal was: delivering to the brain metallic nanoparticles via focused ultrasound-mediated blood-brain barrier (BBB) permeabilization, to heat them using lasers for glioblastoma photothermal therapy! In this paper she shows one of the steps to reach this daunting task.

  4. New publication from PINT facility in Cellular and Molecular Life Sciences

Géraldine Ferracci (Study Engineer on the PINT platform) participated in the publication entitled "Molecular landscape of BoNT/B bound to a membrane inserted synaptotagmin/ganglioside complex" which appeared on August 25, 2022 in Cellular and Molecular Life Sciences.

    Abstract :

  6. Zinc Modulation of Neuronal Calcium Sensor Proteins: Three Modes of Interaction with Different Structural Outcomes

Congratulation to Vika post doc in team 9 (Cytoskeleton and NeuroPhysiopathology) for this great piece of work on Zinc Modulation of 3 families of Neuronal Calcium Sensor Proteins recently published in Biomolecules.

  7. Opening of the Nikon Center of Excellence for Neuro-NanoImaging at INP

After being postponed in 2021, the inauguration of the Nikon Center of Excellence for Neuro-Nanoimaging at Aix-Marseille Université (see more details on the Center of Excellence below) will take place on September 22, 2022 starting at 9:00 am on the Timone campus (Grisoli amphitheater), in the presence of the President of AMU Mr. Eric Berton and the Director of Nikon Europe Mr. Takaharu Sasaoka. We are pleased to invite you to this event which will combine an international scientific symposium, followed by an inauguration ceremony and the possibility to visit the platform (see attached program).

  8. Team 6 (Nivet) at NeuroMarseille's Day

Team 6 was happy to participate in NeuroMarseille's day, which took place on June 28, 2022.

Many members of the INP attended this scientific and friendly day for the neuroscience community.

Our M1 student, Marine Dos Santos, also presented her one-month work in our team, during the afternoon poster session.

We thank NeuroMarseille for this great day !
