The Institute of NeuroPhysiopathology (INP) is a training and research centre of excellence that combines basic and translational research to study neural cell organisation, function and interaction, the molecular and cellular bases of major brain diseases, and to develop innovative cellular and molecular therapeutic strategies.
The PFNT Facility is a coherent set of exploration tools in neurobiology allowing research at the molecular, cellular and integrated levels.

From insights of the human brain, organoids, non-human primate and cell models to the molecular mechanisms of tau, alpha-Synuclein, TDP43 and Amyloid aggregation.

Christophe (Team 7), Ivan (Team 6), Emmanuel (Team 8) and Sarah (Team 4) participated in NeuroMAP Day, the first event that brought together researchers, clinicians, engineers, and students alongside patient associations focused on brain and nervous system disorders. During the event organized by NeuroMarseille, they presented the research being conducted in their respective labs to the general public, making scientific dissemination more accessible to a broader audience. We are pleased to announce that our team has obtained a FRM "2024 prematuration" grant for a project in collaboration with BBB team and Vect-Horus.
The funding will start 1st of November for one year and will allow us to pursue our scientific research on MT5-MMP and its role in Alzheimer disease using in this particular project vectorised mimetic peptides as a potential therapeutical approach.

A 3-year full-time doctoral position is available at the Institute of Neuropathophysiology (INP) (https://inp.univ-amu.fr), CNRS/Aix-Marseille University. This position is funded by the Vaincre Alzheimer foundation, and the successful candidate is expected to start at the beginning of 2025.
