L'Institut de NeuroPhysiopathologie (INP) est un centre d'excellence pour la formation et la recherche qui allie la recherche fondamentale et translationnelle pour étudier l'organisation, la fonction et l'interaction des cellules neurales, les bases moléculaires et cellulaires des principales maladies du cerveau, et développer des stratégies de thérapies cellulaires et moléculaires innovantes.
La PFNT (Plateforme NeuroTimone) est un ensemble cohérent d'outils d'exploration en neurobiologie permettant des investigations aux échelles moléculaires, cellulaires et intégrées.

Nadia Merad Coliac, designer plasticienne, a rejoint l’équipe NOSE (Nasal Olfactory Stemness and Epigenesis) de l’INP, comme chercheuse associée. À la croisée de plusieurs disciplines, elle développe une réflexion et une œuvre expérimentale art et science, dans le domaine de la bioluminescence. Elle envisage une application thérapeutique dans les troubles du spectre autistique (TSA).
Many members of the INP attended the annual Canceropole PACA meeting in the Palais des Congrès of St Raphaël on the 4th and 5th of july. In the frame of the translational research call, F. INP team 8 and 9 and PINT members being part of the French Microtubule Network, several members presented their work at the 4th French Microtubule Network gathering in Rennes on the 1srt and 2nd july 2019, in the "Microtubules and their regulators : new therapeutic targets" session and the "Microtubules, assembly and regulation" session. An article entitled "Le CNRS et Aix-Marseille Université signent un accord avec la PME Vect-Horus sur la propriété intellectuelle", published in the CNRS Innovation Letter of 20 June 2019 and relayed by the INSB site, features the agreement signed by CNRS, AMU and Vect-Horus establishing the intellectual property rights regime and the exploitation of patents.
Our last work on IAPs : "Inhibitor of Apoptosis Proteins (IAPs) Determines Glioblastoma Stem‐Like Cell Fate in an Oxygen‐Dependent Manner" is now published in Stem Cells. We highlighted that pharmacological inhibition of IAPs by Smac mimetic GDC-0152 was able to decrease glioblastoma stem-like cells viability in hypoxia by decreasing cell proliferation and increasing apoptosis through ATR and TNFα pathways
Lors du dernier congrès de NeuroFrance qui se tenait du 22 au 24 mai 2019 au Palais des Congrès de Marseille, l’INP s’est illustré à travers 20 posters, 4 communications orales, et une modération de symposium, sans oublier l’organisation de l’exposition « Art en Tête », montrant non seulement la richesse et la qualité de sa recherche mais aussi son ouverture d’esprit.

Romain La Rocca, third year PhD student in INP team 9 (Cytoskeleton and Neurophysiopathology), will present a part of his thesis work during the 1st NanoTemper Virtual Symposium on June 30th from 9 to 12h30. NanoTemper annual seminars bring together the researchers using NanoTemper instruments, or eager to discover new technologies and in different fields of research. During this event, Romain will show how to use the nanoDSF technology to study the quaternary structure of tubulin.
Christophe Leterrier, leader of the NeuroCyto team, has just published "The Cell Biologist's Guide to Super-Resolution Microscopy", a poster and accompanying review article for the "At A Glance" series of the Journal of Cell Science.
The Platform INteractome Timone - PINT is pleased to announce the arrival of the Tycho™ NT.6, the new nanoDSF instrument by Nanotemper. The Tycho is designed to characterize the quality of any protein within minutes, using only 10 µL of sample. This fast analysis is critical for choosing the batches, buffers, or conditions by comparing the relative stability of each sample along every step of an experiment, thus allowing an efficient assay and purification workflow development.
Christophe Leterrier, NeuroCyto team leader, will be one of the judges for the 46th Nikon Small World photomicrography and Small World in Motion video competitions. He will be the first French researcher to be on the judging panel for this prestigious competition.
Après près de 2 mois de fermeture du laboratoire, un plan de reprise des activité vient d'être mis en place pour une sortie de confinement progressive et évolutive en toute sécurité. La reprise de nos activités au laboratoire va se concrétiser à partir du 12/05 mais seulement de manière partielle. Il s’agit d’une part de respecter les recommandations de nos tutelles, d’autre part de travailler dans les meilleures conditions possibles sur le plan de notre sécurité qui reste notre première priorité.
Le projet « 80 plantes pour les 80 ans du CNRS » avance : la liste des plantes à commander a été établie. Les commandes seront passées dès que les jardineries pourront vendre les plantes ornementales. En effet, l’Etat a autorisé, en avril, la réouverture des jardineries et pépinières, pour vendre des graines, bulbes, plantes aromatiques et plants à vocation alimentaire. Les plantes décoratives ne sont pas remises à la vente, pour de meilleures conditions sanitaires d’achat.
Dans le cadre des actions de la lutte contre le COVID-19, conformement aux dispositions prises par Aix Marseille Université en concertation étroite avec le CNRS, CEA, INRAE, INRIA et INSERM, l'INP comme la plupart des laboratoires de recherche a fait don d'une grande partie de ses kits et consommables pouvant servir à prévenir, dépister et soigner dans le cadre de la lutte contre le COVID-19. Un grand merci à toutes celles et tous ceux qui ont participé au recensement et à la collecte de ces masques, gants, reactifs, etc ...
Suite au discours du président de la République et conformément à ce qui avait été préparé dans le cadre du Plan de Continuité des Activités Pédagogiques, Administratives et de Recherche d'Aix Marseille Université et du CNRS, l'ensemble du personnel de l'INP continuera a travailler de chez soi à compter de ce lundi 16 mars 2020.
En raison des mesures prises pour freiner l'épidémie COVID-19, cette causerie est bien évidemment annulée ...
