The PFNT Facility is a coherent set of exploration tools in neurobiology allowing research at the molecular, cellular and integrated levels.

Nadia Merad Coliac, plastic designer, joined the NOSE (Nasal Olfactory Stemness and Epigenesis) team, as an Associate researcher. At the crossroads of several disciplines, she develops an experimental work of art and science, in the field of bioluminescence. She is considering a therapeutic application in patients with autism spectrum disorders (ASD). Recently, Nadia published Lumière vivante - Théorie et pratique de la bioluminescence (Living light - theory and use of bioluminescence) - L’Harmattan eds.
Many members of the INP attended the annual Canceropole PACA meeting in the Palais des Congrès of St Raphaël on the 4th and 5th of july. In the frame of the translational research call, F. Devred (INP team 9) & E. Tabouret (INP team 8) presented the results and perspective of their project "Next generation plasma profiling of gliomas using nanoDSF: toward a new prognostic and monitoring tool"
INP team 8 and 9 and PINT members being part of the French Microtubule Network, several members presented their work at the 4th French Microtubule Network gathering in Rennes on the 1srt and 2nd july 2019, in the "Microtubules and their regulators : new therapeutic targets" session and the "Microtubules, assembly and regulation" session. Pascale Barbier presented her work "", Raphael Berges his work "Proscillaridin A exerts anti-tumor effects through"GSK3 activation and alteration of microtubule dynamics in glioblastoma" and François Devred a new method of "Functional screening of therapeutic agents and targets using nanoDSF "
An article entitled "Le CNRS et Aix-Marseille Université signent un accord avec la PME Vect-Horus sur la propriété intellectuelle", published in the CNRS Innovation Letter of 20 June 2019 and relayed by the INSB site, features the agreement signed by CNRS, AMU and Vect-Horus establishing the intellectual property rights regime and the exploitation of patents.
Our last work on IAPs : "Inhibitor of Apoptosis Proteins (IAPs) Determines Glioblastoma Stem‐Like Cell Fate in an Oxygen‐Dependent Manner" is now published in Stem Cells. We highlighted that pharmacological inhibition of IAPs by Smac mimetic GDC-0152 was able to decrease glioblastoma stem-like cells viability in hypoxia by decreasing cell proliferation and increasing apoptosis through ATR and TNFα pathways
During the last NeuroFrance congress held from May 22 to 24, 2019 at the Palais des Congrès in Marseille, the INP distinguished itself through 20 posters, 4 oral communications, and 1 symposium moderation, not to mention the organization of the "Art in Mind" exhibition, showing not only the richness and quality of his research but also his open-mindedness.
The Platform INteractome Timone - PINT is pleased to announce the arrival of the Tycho™ NT.6, the new nanoDSF instrument by Nanotemper. The Tycho is designed to characterize the quality of any protein within minutes, using only 10 µL of sample. This fast analysis is critical for choosing the batches, buffers, or conditions by comparing the relative stability of each sample along every step of an experiment, thus allowing an efficient assay and purification workflow development.
Après près de 2 mois de fermeture du laboratoire, un plan de reprise des activité vient d'être mis en place pour une sortie de confinement progressive et évolutive en toute sécurité. La reprise de nos activités au laboratoire va se concrétiser à partir du 12/05 mais seulement de manière partielle. Il s’agit d’une part de respecter les recommandations de nos tutelles, d’autre part de travailler dans les meilleures conditions possibles sur le plan de notre sécurité qui reste notre première priorité.
Le projet « 80 plantes pour les 80 ans du CNRS » avance : la liste des plantes à commander a été établie. Les commandes seront passées dès que les jardineries pourront vendre les plantes ornementales. En effet, l’Etat a autorisé, en avril, la réouverture des jardineries et pépinières, pour vendre des graines, bulbes, plantes aromatiques et plants à vocation alimentaire. Les plantes décoratives ne sont pas remises à la vente, pour de meilleures conditions sanitaires d’achat.
Dans le cadre des actions de la lutte contre le COVID-19, conformement aux dispositions prises par Aix Marseille Université en concertation étroite avec le CNRS, CEA, INRAE, INRIA et INSERM, l'INP comme la plupart des laboratoires de recherche a fait don d'une grande partie de ses kits et consommables pouvant servir à prévenir, dépister et soigner dans le cadre de la lutte contre le COVID-19. Un grand merci à toutes celles et tous ceux qui ont participé au recensement et à la collecte de ces masques, gants, reactifs, etc ...
Suite au discours du président de la République et conformément à ce qui avait été préparé dans le cadre du Plan de Continuité des Activités Pédagogiques, Administratives et de Recherche d'Aix Marseille Université et du CNRS, l'ensemble du personnel de l'INP continuera a travailler de chez soi à compter de ce lundi 16 mars 2020.
