La PFNT (Plateforme NeuroTimone) est un ensemble cohérent d'outils d'exploration en neurobiologie permettant des investigations aux échelles moléculaires, cellulaires et intégrées.

  1. INP participated to CALM 2023

    L'INP a participé au 7èmes journées scientifiques francophones du CALM qui étaient organisées par le Le Club Alzheimer de Montpellier les mardi 14 et mercredi 15 Novembre 2023, en distanciel et en présentiel. Au cours de ces 2 journées qui ont pour objectif de de dynamiser les échanges entre les chercheurs et cliniciens travaillant sur la maladie d'Alzheimer, Maud GRATUZE (équipe 2') a donné une conférence intitulée "Les macrophages de la bordure parenchymateuse : des cellules immunitaires qui régulent la pathologie tau et la neurodégénérescence associée" dans la session mécanistique et Mathieu CECCALDI a donné une conférence intitulée "

  2. Cytoskeleton wars: actin vs microtubules

    The latest collaboration from the NeuroCyto team was just published in the Journal of Cell Science, and asks a simple question: how do microtubule and actin fight or cooperate with each other? The CytoMorpho lab of Manuel Théry and Laurent Blanchoin in Paris and Grenoble used complex in-vitro reconstitution to show how dense actin networks can stop microtubule growth. This is confirmed by Structured Illumination Microscopy images of cells from our Nikon Center of Excellence, showing microtubule stopped at the cell periphery by the dense actin lamellipodium.

  4. Emmanuel now holds a doctorate

    🎉 Congratulations to Emmanuel Snacel-Fazy, who brilliantly defended his thesis and was awarded the title of Docteur en biologie-santé, spécialité oncologie d'Aix-Marseille Université, with the congratulations of the jury. 

    Emmanuel is now an ATER in the GlioME team and is continuing the technological development of light-sheet imaging associated with the clearing technique he developed. 

  5. Cover article from The NeuroCyto team in the Journal of Cell Biology

    The NeuroCyto team published their latest work in the Journal of Cell Biology (article is available here), where they reveal the presence of distinct actin nanostructures within presynapses. The article is featured in the October issue of the journal, and made it to the cover that shows a nice picture of a neuron endogenously tagged for actin using CRISPR/Cas9. It opens new perspectives to understand the multiple roles that have been proposed for actin at presynapses.

  6. Congratulations to Alessandra Pagano whose project is the winner of the "Emergence - Biology & Health″ funding

    Alessandra Pagano, a teacher-researcher in the GlioME team, recently obtained "emergence" funding from the Cancéropôle PACA for her project entitled: GeNI project "Generation of a new class of drugs targeting ML-IAP to improve glioblastoma treatment".

     

  7. Latest article by Chiara Bastiancich

    The GlioME team is happy to share the latest article entitled "Local delivery of doxorubicin prodrug via lipid nanocapsule–based hydrogel for the treatment of glioblastoma", published in the journal Drug Delivery and Translational Research!

    This work was realised in collaboration between three affiliations: Université catholique de Louvain, Institute of NeuroPhysiopathology (INP) and Dipartimento di Scienza e Tecnologia del Farmaco - Università di Torino.

  8. New publication of the NeuroCyto team on multicolor super-resolution microscopy

    The NeuroCyto team published a new article in Cell Reports Methods. This is the work of PhD student Karoline Friedl in collaboration with the Abbelight company: we thoroughly characterized two different modalities of simultaneous multicolor Single Molecule Localization Microscopy using a two-camera module. The article can be found here (open access).

Team 6 was pleased to receive the Vaincre Alzheimer Foundation for a short film

The Vaincre Alzheimer foundation came to shoot a short video in our laboratory to explain the progress of our research and to look back on a project funded in 2019 by the foundation that seeks to answer this question: how can we control neuroinflammation to prevent Alzheimer's disease in people carrying a risk factor like APOE4 ?

Vect-Horus conclut un accord de licence exclusif avec Novo Nordisk

Après plus de 2 ans de collaboration R&D et ensuite de négociations entre les parties, Vect-Horus signe un accord de licence avec Novo Nordisk, numéro 1 de l’industrie pharmaceutique au niveau européen et numéro 2 mondial. Cet accord confère à Novo Nordisk une licence mondiale exclusive pour l’utilisation de la plateforme technologique « VECTrans® » de Vect-Horus, pour le transport de molécules thérapeutiques dirigées contre des cibles spécifiques. Vect-Horus recevra un versement initial (Upfront Payment) qui lui permettra de poursuivre sa R&D.
