Laurie Arnaud (Neural Plasticity and Degeneration, Team 1 & Stem cells, Disease modeling and Neuroregeneration, Team 6) successfully defended her thesis on the 29th of September 2021. The jury was unanimous to acknowledge Laurie's hard work during her thesis at the INP.
Her project allowed to identify modifications that affect the astrocyte under the effect of the major genetic risk factor in AD : Apolipoprotein E4 (APOE4). To shed light on those modifications, she used two on-point technologies (hiPSc and CRISPR-Cas9) to generate genetically modified human cell models. This work led to a paper in which she is first author.
One thing is certain, she will be missed after those 4 and a half years at the INP !
