The Vaincre Alzheimer foundation came to shoot a short video in our laboratory to explain the progress of our research and to look back on a project funded in 2019 by the foundation that seeks to answer this question: how can we control neuroinflammation to prevent Alzheimer's disease in people carrying a risk factor like APOE4 ?

Team 6 was happy to participate in NeuroMarseille's day, which took place on June 28, 2022.
Many members of the INP attended this scientific and friendly day for the neuroscience community.
Our M1 student, Marine Dos Santos, also presented her one-month work in our team, during the afternoon poster session.
We thank NeuroMarseille for this great day !
After two years of being postponed, INP Day #2 finally took place on Friday, June 3rd.
A huge congrats and thank you to the organizing team (including our engineer Louise) for persevering and making this day a success!
Team 6 took the opportunity of this cheerful day to take a picture, with Marine our intern who is a M1 student.
Don't miss the next Neuro'binar of NeuroMarseille with Emmanuel Nivet (Team 6) !
Next Tuesday, on March 22nd, 2022, at 1 pm online, discover Dr Emmanuel Nivet's work in the 13th edition of Neuro'binar:
🔘 Emmanuel Nivet (INP) will present his research topic entitled: "Human induced pluripotent stem cells to study the role of astrocytes in Alzheimer’s disease"
We are please to welcome Guillaume Benhora-Chabeaux for his 5-month Master internship (2nd year) in the Nivet team. After obtaining a first Master degree in Cognitive Science (MASCO) from the Aix-Marseille University, with the highest honours, Guillaume has enrolled the Master in Neuroscience (cellular and molecular neuroscience). Guillaume will be working on the crosstalk between inflammation and a susceptibility to neurodegeneration using in vitro and in vivo models.
Dr Emmanuel Nivet has been appointed as a new member of the European Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) of a joint organization unifying the Alzheimer Forschung Initiative e.V. (AFI), Germany, Alzheimer Nederland (AN), The Netherlands and Fondation Vaincre Alzheimer (FVA), France. Each of the above organizations is dedicated to funding dementia research in its own country.
On October, the 21st, Emmanuel was invited to give a talk during the 2021 meeting organized by the French Club of Glial Cells. Emmanuel had the chance to present the latest and exciting results of the NIVET team by giving a talk during a symposium dedicated on Glial cells in Brain diseases. Emmanuel's talk was entitled: "Human-iPSC-astrocytes reveal a pro-inflammatory axis under the control of the APOE4 genetic risk factor in Alzheimer's disease".
Our team is please to welcome Chisato Suematsu for a 6 months Master internship (from September 2021). Originated from Japan, Chisato is currently studying at the University of Oldenburg (Germany) where she is enrolled in the Neuroscience Program as a 2nd year master student. She is one of the 3 international students that have been selected by NeuroMarseille to receive a competitive fellowship in the context of the MSc incoming mobility 2021 call.
