Zineb Sabri, mathematician and computer scientist, joined the NOSE team for her M2 internship, under the supervision of Nadia Coliac. Her project is “the implementation and evaluation of computer vision and multimodal analysis approaches for the study of behavior in autistic populations.”
The main objective is to study the impact of different types of lighting on adolescents diagnosed with autism in order to produce relevant statistical results. To do this, I will organize and process a multimodal database including video recordings, heart rate measurements, saliva analyses, and motion sensor data. My technical tasks will consist of developing computer vision scripts to automatically analyze the videos, then cross-referencing these visual observations with the other physiological signals. Finally, I will synthesize all of these correlations in a preliminary research report.
