The PFNT Facility is a coherent set of exploration tools in neurobiology allowing research at the molecular, cellular and integrated levels.
Chiara Bastiancich, Post-doc in the GlioME team presented her ongoing GlioRET project at the European Symposium on Controlled Drug Delivery.
Her poster "Elucidating the tumor resection microenvironment of glioblastoma toward the development of fit-for-purpose local treatments" won over the cogress jury !
Emmanuel Snacel-Fazy, a 2nd year doctoral student in the GlioME team, won the best poster award at yesterday's "Conference Annuelle de L'institut Cancer et Immunologie (ICI)", Thursday 31 March 2022.
His work on the "Remodelling of the glioblastoma immune landscape by smac mimetic GDC-0152" has been appreciated and rewarded. Once again, congratulations!
Dr Romain Appay, pathologist at the Timone Hospital and PhD student in the GioME team, has published a new research paper entitled "Rosette-forming glioneuronal tumours are midline, FGFR1- mutated tumours" in the Neuropathology and Applied Neurobiology journal.
On december 10th 2022, PINT INP and Vect-Horus members met in the Hippodrome Borély for the "Course des Lumières" organized by Foundation Recherche Alzheimer. It was freezing but together with 600 or something others, they walked 5 km or ran 8 km, to light up the night against Alzheimer's disease and for all patients, carrying a luminous object. The Cancéropole PACA has created a web page for the PETRA platform with all the necessary information and the contact form: PETRA web page.
In collaboration with other teams, the glioME team participated in two new scientific publications:
"Deciphering the heterogeneity of the Lyve1+ perivascular macrophages in the mouse brain": https://www.nature.com/articles/s41467-022-35166-9
"Challenges in glioblastoma research: focus on the tumor microenvironment": https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/36400694/
Our team is pleased to welcome Mensah Loko for a 6 months Master internship (from November 2022) in Integrative Biology and Physiology: Integrative approach to the functions of life: from gene to pathology. The subject of his internship is the role of Adrenomedullin expressed by glioblastoma-associated endothelial cells in promoting a stable and functional angiogenesis.
