INP technical seminar : Analytical Ultracentrifugation by Beckman

Friday, 18 June, 2021 - 14:30
Ending date:
Friday, 18 June, 2021 - 15:30

this webinar will be given by Tilak Gupta (Germany) in english

Analytical ultracentrifugation (AUC) is a technique that couples ultracentrifugation to an optical system that allows the measurement of particle sedimentation in real time. This technology allows, in a single analysis, to characterize proteins, nanoparticles, extracellular vesicles or other molecular structures in their native environment.

The applications for analytical ultracentrifugation are therefore diverse:

  • Protein characterization: determination of stoichiometry, molecular weight, protein conformation, aggregation, protein-ligand conjugation...
  • AAV, vectorology : determination of the capsid load in genetic material
  • Studies of antibody-drug conjugation
  • Study of nanoparticles: size and conformation of liposomes, micelles ...
